A collection of various tools which can be used to extract, analyse and plot input and output files from FVCOM.

PyFVCOM is most easily installed with pip:

pip install PyFVCOM

Alternatively, you can download and manually install it from either PML or GitHub. PyFVCOM requires TAPPY (a harmonic analysis program) which is also available from PML or GitHub.

The GitHub repository contains Jupyter (iPython) notebooks showing how to read FVCOM data and process the outputs.

An example plot below shows tidal ellipses derived from FVCOM compared against equivalent ones from POLPRED.
